Coldplay - Single "Magic" Review

Coldplay's Ghost Stories

To celebrate the reveal of Coldplay's first single "Magic" from their not-quite-yet released "Ghost Stories" Album, I present a review of the single that is currently 9th on iTunes singles. Coldplay's albums seem to be hit or miss with the general public and while "Magic" is catchy with Chris Martins angelic voice it also misses the heartfelt lyrical genius to it unlike their other hits "yellow" and "fix you". While Martins voice is angelic it's almost but not quite monotone as it lacks an explosion of passion from the chorus. While the song is sweet, it worries me that if this is the best song they are offering from the 9 song album, It might not be a success. Although I personally enjoy listening to the single, it also feels as if something is missing, as a Coldplay fan i just hope it is found in the album.
